ready, set, play!!

so finally after three weekends, thousands of pieces of cedar, countless man hours and power tools (oh and a few tantrums!) the playset is together. special thanks to my handy husband and a few friends. if you ever find yourself with a playset to build do not, i repeat do not take the recommendations from the manufacturer seriously. our set claimed it would take two guys with power tools eight hours to build which was a total and complete lie!! the instructional dvd that came with the set was enough to make your head spin....

here is the playhouse mid construction

here is the cyclone that was our backyard for three weeks (keeping marcus from the power tools, nuts, bolts and screws was a full time job!)

a series of shots to document the tantrums after being denied bolts and nuts

but there were fun times too, like wheel barrel rides with momma

now that it is complete marcus is loving it! for now the big kid swing and tunnel slide are his favorite. can't wait for some fun playdates coming up!!

xoxo

OMG! It's every kid's dream!! Super great job Isa (and whoever helped you) with this nightmare you'll always remember fondly in years to come. Can't wait to see the live action it's gonna get over the years. Nanasan is missing you guys already, BUT Mr. Dills is keeping me from getting rusty, HA! So very busy every waking moment . . . loads of laughs fun and tantrums. There will be many stories to tell. Maybe I should open a blog to do a daily review of the action over here . . .
