Dandelion giveaway!

we are big on the three R's (reduce, reuse, recycle) around here! we even dance around to jack johnson's version on a regular basis. whether it is bringing our own bags to the grocery store, hauling bags of cans and bottles to the recycle plant or wrapping little bums in cloth diapers, our family truly strives to keep our planet green. we are far from perfect but we really do try to make a conscientious effort for the sake of our future generations.

that is why i am excited to introduce Dandelion!

Dandelion is an innovative company that makes toys, bags, layette and feeding items that are made of organic, natural and recycled materials. best of all they are 100% committed to our environment. much to my delight Dandelion was kind enough to send us some goodies to try out with the babies.

the Bear Teething Blanket could not have arrived at a more perfect time in our house. both damian and sophia are teething something fierce! we were eager to try it out and the babies l-o-v-e-d it!! there are knots, tags, even little bear ears which are perfect for tugging, teething and touching. sophia is obsessed with the crinkly sound in the little bear head. here are a few pictures i took of her enjoying all her blanket has to offer!! (her dress was a gift to my mother when she was pregnant with me and i wore it 32 years ago. now i get to dress my little girl in it - how sweet is that? yet another example of how we reuse around here!)

oh and did i mention this blanket is made with organic cotton fibers, filled with soft corn fibers and machine washable? perfect for two slobbery six month olds!! hahaha

the Believe Organic Plush are sooo sweet! the mommy and baby rhino are adorable and made from all organic and natural materials. the Believe plush collection was created to inspire families to think about their impact on the planet & precious animals around us.

so on that note....

share with us one way you reduce, reuse or recycle and one of your comments will be randomly selected to win a Believe Organic Plush! ***winner must reside in the U.S.***

Believe you can make a difference, Believe even small steps matter, Believe it’s worth the extra effort!

I love this blog post! I have been a tree hugger since I was born, and I really want to do my part to ensure my daughter will have a green, beautiful world to grow up in. We are big recyclers in our house, we use reusable bags, and when we can, we like to walk to our local Vons for groceries. We are also on our way to transitioning to cloth diapers. :)

These Dandilion products are awesome...Hazel has a few toys already that I can't wait for her to be old enough to appreciate, including that teething bear! :) Sophia looks so cute in that picture, I can't even stand it!

So glad to be introduced to Dandilion, Bec. I'm going to go check it out. Don't know if you've heard, but Bart and Yuka are expecting their first. They have permanently relocated to Japan (not too thrilled about that) and Yuka's mom tells them to buy American toys for the baby (a boy) because of the quality. The California family is putting together a Skype shower box for them so your post is most timely. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. I have some old clothes of Bart's that I'm slipping into the shower box, too!

I have heard wonderful things about Dandelion products. We are big recyclers in our house and plan to cloth diaper when our baby arrives later this year.

Our family sounds a lot like yours green wise. We bring our own bags to the grocery store, cloth diaper, recycle, and reuse as much as possible. My son's cradle is the one his daddy used, his dresser belonged to his grandfather when he was a child, and our crib was used by a friend and her two children before it came to us.

Dandilion looks and sounds like a great product! We are a family that recycles! It's all about keeping it green for our future generations. :)

I love your blog Becky! I also love that you and your family are so "granola" ha ha!! You inspire me to do the same, I have started little by little (making Kiki's baby food, recycling, going organic) I have promised myself that with baby #3 we are going to do the cloth diapers! You made it look so easy there is nothing to fear with the cloth! ;)
